WRETTON PARISH COUNCIL

Wretton Parish Council is recruiting a Parish Clerk & RFO.


The position is for 4 hours per week, flexible home-based hours with required attendance to bi-monthly Parish Council meetings, which are normally held on the first Monday of the month.


Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Co-ordinating, administration and attending Parish Council meetings, including drafting agendas and writing minutes.

  • Actioning the decisions of Council.

  • Maintaining and updating council records and documents.

  • Handling all Parish Council correspondence, telephone, letters, emails and publications.

  • Providing advisory support to the Council.

  • Maintaining and updating the Councils website.

  • Ensuring the Councils governance and policies are up-to-date.

  • Managing the Councils financial records, including VAT returns, cashbook, internal audit, budget and forecasting.

  • Running the payroll, using HMRC basics software.


The salary is Local Government Services Pay Agreement, LC1 (above substantive range), Scale Points 13-17, dependent on experience.
